Hi everyone. As the title says..How do I find local crafts people for an xmas Fayre. I want some people that make gifts with things like stained glass or wood, not just card making and jewellry etc. I've been asking around but can't find anything like that. Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried looking for local craft groups, craft sellers on facebook? Most towns have a for sale facebook page too try putting a notice on there. Good luck

You could start a group on facebook, you will be surprised how quickly local crafters can network, you can make it say 2 of different types of stalls, the last one done was fab, the organiser put a lot of effort into making sure there was a good mix

Hiya where is your fayre going to be? I make wooden and textile gifts but i'm based in North west. Try posting on the forum at www.folksy.com there is a craft fair section in there x xV 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550

Thank you all for your replies. Craft fayre is at Shireoaks near Worksop Notts. I'll have a look on face book, I ought to have thought of that
Thanks again everyone you've been really helpful. x 0 -

I know its not the immediate area but you could post on sheffield forum www.sheffieldforum.co.uk as it's not really that far for people to travel! When and where is the craft fair as I may be tempted to come along for a browse.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenge Member #53.

I am also going to suggest stall finder. If you put a free advert on there you will be inundated with crafty people wanting to show their goods.0
