you can use http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ with the lame codec it will allow you to grab any ringtone, or sound, you can hear through your speakers and save it as an MP3 or other format you can then cut the part out you want and use it as a ringtone

I would also recommend Zedge, free to join and download ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers etc. Just register and it sorts out everything that is compatible with your phone.

Another site that is ok is http://www.acegames.us/forum/ also free to join and have mp3 clips (but not full songs).
