Dressing gown made from material like a fleece blanket pls.

Options
Hi all.

I have been looking online but the search engine does not recognise my request very well as i have to put 100% polyester but that brings up loads of fabric variations.

I'm looking for a dressing gown that is like a fleece blanket, not the material that most dressing gowns are made of today, maybe its a bit old style not a fluffy fleece more of a flat fleece. But both are 100% polyester just different finishes.

I used to have one but cannot find them anywhere and just wondered if anyone had seen them on their travels. I bought some fleece blankets from argos and its the material i'm looking for but just don't know where to look.

I have been to next, sainsburys and george but they are all the fluffy fleece style.

Any help really appreciated, got to be long as well :D sorry but need to be warm this winter and this material does the trick. cheers.

I was looking for ages for the same thing but had to give in and get a fleece one in the end. The material you're looking for I think is like a thin velvet - velour?
I've just been on the Damart website and they have velour there which I'll investigate, so perhaps this or similar websites for 'the more mature' lady is the place to start. Must admit I didn't think to check these out before.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, i have seen some i think maybe the type i'm looking for in Debenhams and will checkout Primark. But i will have to get a close up and inspect. This sort of fleece keeps me much warmer than the boucle type fleece, i feel the cold terribly :(

They have some in Marks and Spencers in the material i want but have zip up front and are for the older lady and i just want a normal tie belt....i will not be beat :D
  • what about something like this ?

edit - sorry just seen it's bobbly fleece so not what your after really.
  • I got one for a friend recently from Primark, and have one in that material from La Senza but not sure if they still do them (had it for about a year and a half and it's still great).

I got one from BHS and it's been great - soft and fleecy feel even after lots of washing. Very long too I'm 5 foot 10 and it's fine. Does not shrink in wash/dryer either. Had cheaper from that QS/24-7.

    They might still have them?

    I got mine half price

Peacocks had this type last year but they had a zip front, they weren't old lady style though, they were quite trendy and colourful, I have the breast cancer awareness one, so it might be worth a look:)
Thank you for this site Martin
