Hi all.

I am looking to buy a Garmin Zumo 220 sat nav system. It is going for £300 at Halford but Tesco are doing it for £330!

The thing is, I am sure there are money-off vouchers going around for Tesco Direct and this probably brings the price a little nearer to that of Halfords. Also, I have a fair few Tesco clubcard vouchers laying around the house (in various draws!) that I would like to use before they expire.

So, my questions are:

  1. Can I use Tesco clubcard vouchers to buy electrical goods?
  2. Is the exchange rate 1:1?
  3. Are there any decent money-off codes available when purchasing electrical goods over £300 at Tesco Direct??

many thanks

Paul

  • if you don;t use your clubcard vouchers as part of an exchange or deal (to get most out of them) they are just like cash in tesco store, you can use them for anything...or so I believe. so if you have for example at £10 voucher, it's just the same as handing the a £10 note.
    Hope this helps

With respect to these 'exchange deals', is there any way of utilising this method to purchase the sat-nav for a better than 1-4-1 when using the vouchers?? I am not really aware of the practice of exchange deals!:(
  • you have to wait until the exchange is on, it happens about 4 times a year...but just your luck if it happens to include electrical items. There's a thread on TESCO Silly Price Electrical Items which might help you find a decent satnav at a lower price.

you can sell your clubcard voucher on ebay. people usually pay up to twice for them.

Ie £100 vouchers will sell for around £175
