Calling all crafty people!

Hi all crafty peeps!

I am wanting some leaf shaped tags to use as wishing tree tags and would prefer to make them myself (after I successfully made the invites!) for the personal touch & as the prices I have seen on etsy (I think it was) are rather pricey! I appreciate that a lot of work goes into them but I am prepared to do this ... the only stumbling block I have is (without getting out the scissors and getting sore hands) how do I make leaf shaped tags to decorate!?

All ideas gratefully received! happy.gif

You could get a leaf shaped craft punch and emboss the paper if u wanted to make the veins

There are loads on the web of different leaf shapes and sizes.

Thanks PootleFlump but they all look rather small I fear. I need something with room for the guests to write their wishes. Thanks for the reply though!!

Do you know any one with a die cutting machine, eg Cricut. They would be so quick and easy to do then and you select the size

Oooo now thats a good idea (real leaves) , however... would they last as we want to keep the "wishes" in a book or a frame. Wouldnt want them to "crumble" or turn to compost along with everyones hopes and best wishes for us!

Re the diecutting machine ... Nope I am afraid I dont :-(

Thanks for the ideas though! x

If you mod podge them after they have been written on they should be fine. Make sure you dry them out and flatten them first.
  • I have a template set (with cutter) possibly Fiskars.

Set of 3 plastic templates (hearts/stars/leaves) & the size is quite reasonable. It's designed for fabrics but I have used it on thick handmade paper...

sorry can't go & check at present, having enough trouble keeping the cat off the keyboard..;)

ha ! No that wouldn't do at all.

I pressed the ones I made for my wedding and keep them in acid free tissue paper and they are still fine 3 years later !
