Car boot sales in/around Redhill RH1

Hi there

I have loads of stuff for a carboot sale, but I don't know where they happen! Does anyone know of a carboot sale within a few miles of Redhill, Surrey?

you're in luck - i grew up in reigate! There is one every sunday even through the winter in horley in the car park by the railway station and waitrose.
The biggest in the area is at South park sports ground every sunday through the summer and my cousin swears by one which I think is in burgh heath?
The largest one I know of is on the A3 towards guildford and that is def a summer one.

All are listed in the free local papers that come through the doors or in the surrey mirror.

I may well see you there in the summer!

ps - there is a smaller one that isn't so good in the gloucester road car park in redhill

Hey thanks Happy Chick! I'll go down to Horley one Sunday to check it out and keep an eye on the paper for the South Park one. The last carboot sale I went to round here was on the football pitch near to East Surrey Hospital - but that must have been 15 years ago.

Glad to know there's a neighbour on here. Do you still live in Reigate?

I'm not living in the area at the moment but i'm moving back at the end of February - moving back in with the parents to save a bit of cash!

Did the one at Lingfield last summer which was quite good (just off the A22). Not sure whether they have them during the winter, it's in a field and I know when I phoned they said if it's raining then it's not on. Trouble is it could be raining in Redhill and dry in Lingfield!

Thanks all. That site is really useful, it seems there's one in Dorking which is quite handy so I'll give it a go when it gets a bit less freezing!

Hi happy chick - my money saving is not going well, thanks for asking. But I uploaded my first six items to ebay last night and my carboot pile is growing so things are looking up.

Glad to know there'll be another moneysaver around, sometimes this feels like a lonely place to be broke.

Seaxwyn - have a wander round the Dorking one before you decide to go there to sell. That's what I did and I wasn't overly impressed with it. On a slope and the boot sale bit was squashed in to one end of the car park (it's by the station). Great because it was on tarmac so no mud to get stuck in but I wasn't overly impressed with it. Of course you might feel different!

Thanks for that advice - good to know. Have you been to the Horley one? And South Park? (Somehow I know Gloucester Road, redhill will be no good without having to ask!)
