Where to find cheap Save the Date cards?

OK, we are about to confirm our date and want to get the STD cards out ASAP.

Any recommendations for cheap vintage style ones? :)

  • It really depends on what sort of thing you're after, I know you've said vintage but what style do you want? Some people want hand made, some people want a save the date printed by someone like vistaprint.

    How many do you need?

    I agree a bit more info might be helpful.. Could you let us know what you're looking for, how many you need, whether you want to make things yourself or not...?

    In case it helps, this is what we did. It's not vintage, but others might find some of it useful.

    1. Hand made paper ones for people we were going to see in person, and to post to a select few. I made these with dunn luggage labels, some craft flowers, tiny clothes pegs and a nice red pen. They cost a few pennies each.

    2. I took a photo of a blank paper one on the grass outside in sunshine, then uploaded that to MS Paint, added some generic text and attached it to emails for the remainder of the guests.

    3. I used the same photograph to upload to Vistaprint, and then created free postcards for both day and evening invites. I got 100 day and 100 evening postcards for £10.73 inc P+P. In order to get freebies from Vistaprint, you have to create a profile, create a product and save to your basket, but don't buy it. Eventually they will start sending you LOADS of discount emails and you just need to wait till they send you a discount on the product you want :)

    This way, I've had a matching set of Save the Dates and Invitations (enough for 300 guests) for less than £20 all in.

    Thanks, both of you. We'll probably just do printed ones, with a vintage style design and nice font. :)

    Vistaprint is marvellous. http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/gallery/MEEAAAABAAAAAAA=/invitations-announcements/vintage.aspx?filter=9%3a10013||1%2c24%3a10073||1%2c24%3a10074||1%2c24%3a10075||1%2c24%3a10076||1&sort=p_TO!desc&xnav=sort

    Register, design what you'd like, save the design and then the next day you'll get an offer, and the day after, and the day after that.... Till you get an offer you can't refuse! Really are excellent value. We chose to get the thicker quality paper which I was very happy with.

    I didn't do save-the-dates, but I did invites, RSVPs with envelopes and thank you cards with them.
    I love surprises!

    My brother designed ours but have you thought of e-mailing them you could play around with font and colurs in word
