Home-made photo albums - bookbinding supplies Leeds?

Hi everyone,

I am new to the site but was wondering if anyone knows where to buy book binding stuff in or near Leeds? I used to make my own hardback books ages ago but stopped doing it. I thought it would be a cost effective but personal gift for family and friend at Christmas but have no idea where to get the stuff I need to do it from?

Would really like to go and talk to someone about it and what I need to get started, but I would consider an online shop too. Places like hobbycraft don't really seem that specialised and look expensive.

I know it's quite specialised but any ideas would be great!

Or even if anyone has printed their own books online and would recommend a particular site.....

Thanks!

Vicky

    Hi vickylf

A quick internet search came up with this site - hope it's some help! Can't vouch for any of the firms, but may be worth a few 'phone calls.

I have just had some lovely photo books printed from Artscow. You can design the pages how ever you want them. It was really easy to do. I just had one with 40 pages come 8 inches by 8 inches and it cost me $18 which converted to about £12 or just under. You can pay by Paypal.
  • Thanks for all the answers everyone! I've found a place in Stockport now but I'm also going to see if the university has a shop I may be able to use, I know they do book binding courses. Will take a look at Artscow, thanks rufusd!!!2!
