Big shot question

Hi,

I have just brought a big shot cutting machine and having cut my first die cut I noticed that an imprint has been left on the clear plastic plates, is this correct or have I done something wrong. i'm too scared to do anymore just on case!!

it's the cracking noise it makes when you roll it through that had me worried lol. have fun.
