The reason I'm asking is that I've been offered a deal by telewest who says it's on behalf of NTL , and I didn't want to get duped into signing with them if they are seperate from NTL, has anybody heard of this?

They all merged quite a while ago. Telewest merger was about March and the Virgin one about August.ITV Winners Club #87 :eek:0

Indeed, they merged a while ago.
They have been do realligning (hence the channel changes) and making the billings systems the same, ready for the ~February name change to Virgin Media.
From then on NTL:Telewest will be called Virgin Media.0 -
