Tesco.com changing

Had a talk to one of the managers yesterday in my local store.
Everyone was looking down in the dumps and I asked what was going on.
It seems that Tesco.com is going to change in near future, will work like 'Ocado' shopping, so will come from a central location.
This means there will be lots of job loss, they won't need the staff to do branch online shopping.
Shame. I quite like a lot of the staff at my branch

That will be a big changeas there are always lots of staff picking for orders any time I go in to my store.
Wwill this mean shoppers will get a wider selection i.e. will the central location stock all lines rather than as now you only get the option to order from the range stocked by your delivery store.0 -
Told today (looking for bounty's and honey shreddies), the relocation will be to Enfield.

I wish Asda would do this, my local is stuffed full of home shopping assistants blocking all the aisles. Tesco use a smaller store a few miles away so my store is less full but home shopping has a smaller range.0

They already did that here quite a while ago. Found an article about it at http://www.logisticsit.com/absolutenm/templates/article-wms.aspx?articleid=4965&zoneid=40
