Paypal recurring charges

Hi guys,

I used my paypal account earlier in the year to buy virtual cureency with an online company called Aeria Games. You might of heard about them.. I paid $50 for the product everything was fine no catches.. Then when i used there service again, i was unaware they set up a recurring charge of $50 every month.. I went on for the next few months without even going on there games as i got bored of them, and it was only when i was looking at my paypal account a few months later i notcied these charges.

Now i emailed Aeria, they said i did not set it up with them and it would have been through paypal.. Paypal say that is correct but it would have been through there website?? This i do not understand..

Basically i know 100% i would not give them permission for this and i am disputing 3 of the payments made to Aeria Games.

Paypal emailed me back and said I have been unsuccessful. I rang them, said i was not happy, You haven't explained why I wasnt to escolate the claim to which they agreed.. and within maybe 1 day i just got another pathetic email saying i have been unsuccessful with no explanation..

Oh and i forgt to add Aeria Games blocked my email so I cannot email them..

HELP PLEASE!

  • Send them another e-mail.

Remind them that your last telephone call amounted to a complaint and they have eight weeks to resolve the matter to your satisfaction or you will go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

You need to cancel the reoccuring payment but its odd how no one will take responsibility. Close your paypal account?
