Small Tesco Glitch - Doughnuts

I think what she was trying to say is that the till took off TWO promotions. There is another thread going on this. I bought some today.

It is taking a 3 for 2 promotion and a £2 for £1 promotion at the same time. It is only a very small glitch though.

Just what I was going to say, it is a small glitch as it's taking off 2 for a £1 and 3 for 2, so on the 3 for 2 it's glitching an extra 14p off

It's 3 for £1 the offer is 2 for £1 though so you're getting an extra bag. That said I'm not sure it's a glitch since 2 for £1 is a semi-permanent offer

It's supposed to 57p a bag, if you buy 2 for £1.14 you also get the third one free, but they are going through at 3 for £1 so 14p cheaper than they should be and thats because another deal has kicked in. OMG I think thats right:rotfl:

Or another way to look at it, 57p a bag = £1.72 total (no discounts) and you're paying £1 for the first two, getting the third free... 57p cheaper! Even more bargain-licious! :cool:

No glitch then, I was right. These are permanently 2 for £1. The current bakery offer means you can pick up an extra one for free for the duration of the offer. No glitch, they definitely know about this and there's no mistake. Nothing to see here!

As displayed on the packaging the one offer is 2 for £1 but there is a second offer (3 for 2) that coincides.

Thus

3 x £0.57 = £1.71

First Offer
-£0.14 (2 for £1)

but a second discount also comes off

-£0.57 (3 for 2)

Making 15 doughnuts £1.

To those who have commented that this is a small glitch, I did state this clearly in the title!

I hope this makes sense.
