Balance Bike/Trainer Bike/Bike without Pedals

Can anyone recommend one of the above for a nearly 3 year old boy. We bought a cheap (£10.00) brand new two wheeler with stabilizers and he cant get the hang of it at all so plan to sell that on and replace with a balance bike but there are too many around to choose from so recommendations would be welcome. Would prefer a metal one rather than wood or plastic.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought my son a Strider Rider balance bike and he is getting on brilliant with it and is balancing already. This bike is the lightest metal bike on the market only 3kg and also the most adjustable can be used up to a 5 year old with an extended seat post.
