Hi i have a 15K debt consolidation loan agreed in principle with Natwest at 10.2% apr over the phone with Natwest, obviously i filled the paperwork, is it a mere formality that i will get accepted or do loan apps often fall over at this stage?
I haven't missed a payment on any credit's in 5 years, but had defaults in 2001.
I assume they know about my credit history hence the high apr, or are they yet to check my history?
Cheers for any help!

I would imagine they've already checked your credit file(s), hence how they arrived at an APR. Provided you can substantiate any information supplied on the form e.g. not lied about salary and can prove via payslips, etc then I think you'll be OK.0 -
'Agreed in principle' can mean absolutely anything they want it to mean.
Wait until the paperwork arrives before celebrating.0
