Spicey southern fried wings?

I used to love to eat the SFC spicy hot chicken wings you could get from Farmfoods, they're still on the SFC website though, so if anybody know where I can buy some I'd be obliged.
Anyway I got some KTC Hot & Spicey chicken fry mix from ASDA and tried to make my own, and it wasn't very spicy hot at all, the ingredients were Wheatflour, Salt, Spices (Including Celery), Flavourings, Flavour Enhancer (Monosodium Glutmate), Onion Powder, Mustard Powder, Colour (Paprika Extract), Mace Which doesn't sound hot to me. It was incredibly greasy also. I was thinking if I add some cayenne pepper to the mix and then only part fry them for about 5 minutes and then pu them in the oven, do you think that would yeild better results?

I suggest you search the internet for a recipe... that packet mix has MSG in it... not good at all!
Also, look for tips on double dipping for best coating... If you fry them the first time you put them in oil it cools down and the chicken soaks the fat in... try taking them out right away letting the oil heat and refrying to avoid greasyness.
Also if the fat isn't hot enough to start with it takes in more oil too...We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240
