Ways of boosting income

I work up to 45 hours a week but at the moment the money isn't stretching far enough. I'm not allowed overtime at work because 45 hours is the max.

I can type quickly and have an ECDL qualification. Is there anywhere I can look at that would get me some typing jobs at home. Kind of like a Virtual PA?

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm working on DooYoo and OnePoll - very rare that I get many surveys through OnePoll but I'm on £4.50 at the moment lol.

Thanks all

  • I'm already cutting down as much as I can. I don't do 45 hours every week because I'm on a 3 week rolling rota so sometimes its a lot less. My partner has just gone back from long term sick so I've been supporting both of us and I now need to play catch up.

  • Take a look at the Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes section. For a couple hundred quid you can earn a nice profit in a short space of time.

Not a good point i think IMHO.

To the Op have a look through the site here there is a few things you could try here on this part of the forum there is a few people trying all sorts of stuff from selling your clutter on ebay and amazon for a few more extra pounds to working remotely from home.

    Hope that helps

  • The easiest way of making money is via cashback websites such as Quidco or TopCashback. If you don't use cashback sites, that's step number one. Whatever money you spend online (and in some cases offline on the high street) you can get a percentage - often 5-10% - paid into your cashback account and then paid into your bank account. Even if you don't spend much, there are 'nil spend offers' such as signing up to a Love Film free trial for £15 cashback, experian credit check free trial for £5 cashback. Once you've done them once that's it, but there are always offers from new companies. There's also 'daily clicks' where you get paid a few pence a day for clicking on website links.

Second is survey sites - you are on One Poll, but that's a very slow way to make money. I've found sites like Valued Opinions, MySurvey and Crowdology to be much better.

Mystery shopping - online and on the high street. I've not really done much of this, but I know people who make quite a bit from it.

Freelancing websites - Odesk and People per Hour are good ones. Get paid for all sorts of things from typing, article writing, proof reading etc. There are thousands of available assignments at any one time.

Adsense revenue sharing sites - Hubpages, Web Answers etc.

    Buying/selling through Amazon and Ebay.

There are lots more but these are a few I can think of off the top of my head. If you want any more info on any, give me a shout.

  • Oh and meant to say - gambling loopholes is not gambling. The best way using cashback websites like Quidco. It's quite common to get £20 cashback website for registering and depositing £10, so you make £10 instant profit even if you lose your money. Lets say you register with two such sites, choose a bet with two possible outcomes. With one of your £10 bets, bet on outcome A, with the other bet on outcome B. One will be successful and you'll win. Say you win £8 on one, and lose £10 on the other, then you'll have made £28 in total. There's no real risk (other than the risk that you don't put the bets on correctly I guess).

As has been said, you can quite easily make a couple of hundred pounds this way just by opening a few betting accounts, which you can then close afterwards. Some people make thousands, but that's a bit harder and takes more work... The first couple of hundred is quite easy though.

there's a good site called olbg where you place pretend tips and win actual cash - i've done quite well so far. not sure if we can post links here but you can google it, also have a uni site so you can compete against other unis.
  • I'm no good at betting anyway - I wouldn't know where to start!
