Save yourself some money and buy a standard 3 ft Single Bed, rather than a half size bed and another new bed in a couple of years. That's what we did with our two. Put then up against a wall one side then fitted the protector the other to stop them falling out, and positioned them half way down the bed like you do with a cot with a new born.
    Cheers

I didn't like mine sleeping in ready beds. I was always worried that they would slip right down to the bottom and not be able to get out due to the zipped up cover. I bought a blow up bed and just used a normal cover.
A wee bit cheaper and I slept easier!

my twins have used ready beds since the age of two for camping holidays they are fab, and they great thing with them is they dont lose the covers in the middle of the night, nearly all of the toy shops sell them aswell as mothercare and argos mentioned above, might be worth looking on ebay as new ones are sometimes cheaper on there, they have lots of designs like winnie the pooh and jungle themes etc that are suitable to both girls and boys
