Will any uk banks let me open a current or business account?

I was sequestrated in 2006.

Several thousand pounds is paid into my account each month.

My bank keep refusing me for an upgrade from a basic to a current or biz account.

How long does the sequestration stay on my account, and are there any other uk banks, who might let me open a current account.

I tried rbs, they declined stating that bankruptcy is showing up in my account, but if i could show them proof, that i am clear, they would help, i have been discharged over 2 years now, but i am looking for more than a basic account, many thanks

A basic account is all you'll get till bankruptcy drops off your credit files in 6yrs

have you checked your credit files to see if everythings as it should be?

If you search the forum for "current account" you should get some threads up where members have reported being able to get full bank accounts or upgrade and how they did it. Same with searching "business account".

Cleaning up your credit files is a good start.

Do you mind if I ask why you want a full bank account? Do you really need a business bank account or can you run your business finances through a separate basic/current account from your personal one?
