Iva-compensation

Hi,

Myself and wife are currently in an IVA. prior to the Iva we had a road traffic accident. We are now due some personnel injury compensation. Could anyone tell me if will be allowed to keep this money, or will it be deemed as a windfall, and hence be taken by my iva administrator.????

I think the only way to find out is to look at the iva website. Or ask your iva practictioner themselves. Do you need this money to help you with your injuries? Or would it be a nest egg?

  • yeah kind of for a rainy day..! But if i ask my practioner they will obviously be aware then. But if i new before being payed the money ,that they want to claim my comp , i could probably have it payed into my sons name for instance , that way it would be a collage fund ..etc
