I would also get the details of a sample house that would be OK for you and go to the council to ask for the pre-tenancy determination as mentioned in my earlier post. This is done before you actually have the tenancy and just gives you an idea of the money you could expect. Would be worth clarifying this with the benefit people at the council in case it has changed since I did it.

try entillted to .com they will give you a rough idea if you are entilled to housing benefits as well s any other benefits as for the councill they wont offer anything untill the the last day of your court order then they will only offer tempary housing untill they can offer somthing more long term usally helping you privately renting as you will need a three mybe four bed house and the councill hasnt got many of these propertys so to get you of there lists they lend you money for a depoist for privately rented hope this helps
