Samsonite case problem

Hi all
just bought hubby a very swish cabin size case from argos, usually over £100 but reduced by over 60%.
When we opened it we found the handle was faulty and there is no more stock within a 70 mile radius.
Should I contact Argos or the manufacturer as I really want this case but its no good at the moment as the handle gets stuck every time it is pulled out?

Do you think so as they have no stock anywhere near and generally they don't seem to care much?
I dont really want a refund as I really like this case.0 -
Do they have it for home delivery? maybe call them and see if they'd be able to get one from a different store sent to your home or the store?0

If you are not in a rush take it back to Argos and ask to have it replaced. Chances are that they have a spare somewhere and can get it shipped to that store or can get it replaced by the supplier. Also, online stock checkers are not always accurate. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Just called Argos and they were worse than useless, its not their policy to stock transfer and all they can do is refund if I return it to the store.
Its really big anyway and I REALLY want this case, seems very mean of them.0 -
Surprised at that - can you actually go to the store and ask the manager, rather than just by phone?
Of course, you could put the number on here and we could all look to see if there is one in a local shop for you, then you could tell them where there is one, or even reserve it at the store and get one if it is not too far. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I used icheck stock and the nearest is over 75 miles away so thats why I havent swapped it over.
There are loads over a hundred miles away but they refuse to transfer anything, I'm sure they used to be more helpful than this.
Tried to call samsonite today, its a foreign number so that is out of the question......0
