Mortgage on a one room studio (no separate kitchen)

Hi,
I'm looking to invest in a buy-to-let studio flat. While I have the cash available to buy it outright, I'm eager to have a mortgage on it for obvious tax reasons. Having found the property I've been looking for, I have realized that the traditional lenders all seem to not offer mortgages for a studio flat which doesn't have both a separate kitchen and bathroom. The one I've found is just one studio room with a bathroom. Does anyone know where I would be able to find a lender willing to offer me a mortgage on this kind of property? The property is located in central London and I would be able to show the lender the rent other similar flats in the same building are being let for.

Many thanks in advance.

I would suggest steering well clear of this.

Even if you could find a lender you may well be stuck with them and at the mercy of their rates. If you find it difficult now then you are likely to do so in the future which would also mean difficulty selling in the future as a buyer would have same issues.

Studios generally need seperate kitchen and bathroom and a minimum floor size to even be considered and then it would be down to a valuers comments.

Find something more mortgageable is my opinion.
