Pirate Party Games Ideas Please! 6yr Old Autistic

Hello MSEers,
I need some party game ideas if you can help. Am happy to buy a few bits and bobs or some kits but don't want to spend too much.
There will be ten children at the party as we had to include siblings (I hate that lol!). Most are aged 6 or 7.
Games that take over the room and leave the children who are 'out' with nothing to do are a no-go as my son is autistic. Waiting is not his forte, and you can bet he will be out near the start too!
I've got plenty of things for the kids to do when they arrive and between games, like foam swords, play jewellery, craft activities etc. I will give a prize for the best flag and the best costume.
I'm just stuck on game ideas though. I need games that keep everyone involved.
I thought Pin the Eyepatch on the Captain would be good, as the kids will enjoy watching each other get blindfolded and spun around when it's not their turn and each person's turn is quite quick too.
I also thought Captain Says might be good but it might drag out a bit? What can the children who are 'out' do? Is it fair at this age to say they're allowed to be outlaws who try to distract the remaining players? The kids that are coming do have good senses of humour, my son included. It's just waiting that's the problem!
Musical Islands is out, it means the kids who are out have to wait for ages and it's not very exciting. Pass the parcel is a bit young for this age group I think.
I wanted some kind of treasure dip as I have coins including chocolate coins, but I'm not sure how to do it? I don't want my house turned over and it might rain outside!
Ideas or product suggestions very gratefully received!

Asda sell pinatas, they're £8 I think. You fill with sweets and treats yourself and once it has been busted open everyone can help themselves.0

What about a chocolate coin treasure hunt? You can combine it with a game of sleeping pirates where they have to lie down very still (eyes closed) whilst you're hiding them in the garden and then you choose the quietest pirates to start first.
Pirate dress up race - two teams and they have have a race to see who can dress their captain up the quickest (you can get a selection of trousers/tops/hats/swords/eyepatch/shoes or boots/whiskers etc"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Now THAT is an idea! I can get them to dress up two of my son's giant stuffed animals. Superb one - will do this thanks!!0 -
Is pass the parcel too young? maybe each layer could have a pirate forfeit* and a piece of eight- chocolate coin.
* something humorous or silly.such as hop the plank- hop along a line on the floor.
have you seen the card parrots you can make that balance on your finger? the tail curves under and acts as a counter balance. haven't seen them for years! Nothing came up in google- so you'll need to create your own!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Had another thought.
Do you know the game 'witches gluepots?' One person, the witch is the catcher, puts victims in gluepots (hoops, chalk lines on floor, rope on floor etc) and then they also help to catch the other children. Only rule- their feet must be in the gluepot!
This could be renamed Cannibal's cauldron! Definite audience participationBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

A variation on musical islands where all the children are invoved throughout would be "X marks the spot".
Get a number of sheets of A4 paper and dye/age with cold tea. Then on each write in big letters the name of a place on a pirates treasure island (smugglars's cove, dead man's cavern etc etc you could even incorporate the kids' surnames into places to make it fun) and decorate it a bit like a treasure map (nothing too ott or they'll not notice the place name) on each sheet of paper also draw an X (X marks the spot).
Play the music and the kids dance round when the music stops they each have to choose a location from the map (a piece of paper) and stand on it. You have a bag with the names of each location on and you pull one out and the child who is standing on that location wins a piece of pirates treasure (a chocolate gold coin, little prize to go in their goody bag etc etc) this can be played as many times as you want it to last. I did a variation at DD's party this year (just with numbered sheets) and it was surprisingly popular with the kids asking to play again and again!0 -
i did a pirate and princess party and got my dad to dress as a pirate and put transfer pirate tatoos on the pirates while they were out or waiting annd my auntie stuck nail transfers and stick on gems on the princess just to keep all amused,(tattos and gems from £1 shop) you could bury rubber skeletons etc(halloween -pound shop) in tubs/sandpit/small inflatable pool) of sand and see who could find the treasure.0

My DD had a princesses & pirates party, 2 of the games we played was pass the cannon ball & hook a pirate duck. Pass the cannon ball - all the kids is 2 lines and they have to pass a black balloon to the person behind them 1st over their heads, 2nd one between their legs and so. 1 team to get it back to the beginning wins. Hook a pirate duck - each have to hook a pirate duck from a paddling pool. I drew eye patches on cheap bath ducks from Poundland, attachd a net curtain ring to the top of their heads and then made a fishing rod to hook them with - but I'm sure you could buy a couple of toy fishing rods which would work. hi how about 'walk the plank' we done this with a plank of wood (was from an old bookshelf i think) laid flat on the floor and kids all walk the plank then scoot back around to the beginning to start again. a bit like musical chairs but when the music stops you are out if you are not on the plank.
Also done a treasure hunt where we buried loads of gold coins in the sandpit and on the whistle kids had to dig for their treasure. It is a good idea to have spare coins for anyone who doesn't find any! You could probably do this indoors too as any sand-over-board can easily be hoovered up.
Good luck, i hope your little boy enjoys his party0 -
We did a pirate party and did pirate themed games ...we did a treasure hunt around the house with gold coins & party gifts in the treasure chest at the end ...we also made a pirate ship out of cardboard, painted small polystyrene balls as cannon balls & the kids had to stand by a line & see who could get the most cannon balls in the ship ...we did a variation on walk the plank, we had quite a few planks & the kids had to sneak along the plank with the captain at the end with his back to them, each time he turned round they had to stop, anyone caught moving was thrown to the sharks!! The first person to reach the captain was the winner ...hope that helps0
