hi all, im new to the forum and live in northern ireland. after reading a lengthy thread about entitlement to jsa and holidays i was just wondering if someone could just give me a definitive answer on this please. as i said i live in northern ireland and i am going to wales in 2 weeks for just 3 days, day i leave clashes with my sign day, so i have 2 questions, am i allowed to have a a short break outside my own country as long as it is another part of the uk? and number 2 will i have to sign off and rapid reclaim or something? any accurate info is appreciated, thanks

Yes. You can go to Wales. No you don't have to sign off. Speak to the Jobcentre and arrange to sign on the day before you go away.

hi thanks mj, thats my initials by the way. last day i signed i asked about this and i was told i will have to fill in a going away form? is this correct then?

Yes you will in a form saying that you are still available for work and will come back immediately if you get a job or for an interview.
