my wife keeps moaning at me the normal umbrellas she buys from asda that must fit inside her large handbag keep blowing inside out and therefore become bin fodder. she is not the best at directing into the wind she is on number 5 or 6 now.

I remember years ago seeing on the telly brollys that can blow out and be pushed back with no problem.

I was wondering if such a brolly exists to put inside a large handbag?

i dont mind paying more but just the once.

this is one she keeps getting in asda

umbrella

look forward to some replies hopefully some has seen what im looking for and a bit of peace ;)

many thanks in advance

  • You're probably better off getting one by Totes (Debenhams sell them) - look for windproof ones.
  • Not cheap, but Senz ones are very good in the wind...

  • The best umbrella I ever had was a small bag-sized one by London Fog - it lasted over 10 years!

thanks geri had a look but think she would kill that as well.
have stumbled on the answer by mistake, the one i was looking for was a senz.
normal brollys work upto 70mph winds and the one i just ordered off amazon is a senz mini fits in her bag works in wind upto 60 mph.

have a look on there site at video in wind tunnel. on marked hurricane machine shows basic principle really clever stuff.

pricey brollys about £43 but if they do what they say they do worth every penny and guess who got stitched up with the bill!

yes amazingly seems more and more of that shes had expensive month in that she had to pay out for yearly bus pass and doesnt get paid for a week so kind husband decided to help here out.

but suppose it beats the old favourite 'you got a couple of quid for work i havent had chance to go to the bank'

but i do earn more so doesnt really matter its just the usual stitch up factor that comes in really. (waits response from annoyed female users :rotfl:)

and yes they know who they are :D
