I joined Freecycle and offered a fridge freezer to someone out of the wanted ads,my question is how long should i wait for a reply as it has been 3 days now and i have heard nothing. I need the freezer out of the way and thinking of putting it in offers how long should i wait for a reply....thanks

I'd recommend putting it into the offers section now... 3 days is long enough for them to reply! If you successfully get some replies when you offer the fridge freezer then great! And if the original person gets back in touch with you then tell them that unfortunately they were too late and that you've now offered the fridge freezer to someone else (as I often find that Freecycle works on a first come, first served basis). However, if the original person gets back in touch and you still haven't shifted your fridge freezer then let them have it
hope this helps! 0 -
Although it is a good idea fleacycle is also full of time wasting tw@ts.
I have offered stuff only for the "wanter" to want me to deliver.
TBH in some instances I have.
People who will love you for ever if you offer them something will just not bother to respond after you have said they can have it.
It is full of demanding chancers who stipulate that what they are after MUST be in "excellent condition".
I thought it would be full of ethical "nice" people, and in the main they are.
Someone gave me a Kirby vacuum cleaner with all its accessories.
Don't be offended when you meet the t0ssers just move on and enjoy it.:DDo you have a leesonce for yer minkey?0 -
I usually respond saying they can have the item and then ask if they want a picture first. I try to leave giving them my address as long as possible or at least until I am totally sure they want it. Even so I still had someone promise to come round and had to tell my son that we couldn't go to the park because of this. Needless to say ... They didn't bother turning up and no sign of an apology either !
