depends what you are after. I would tend towards something in

Office clearance ( although usually odd colours)
    clarks clearance
    next clearance
marks and spencers ( sale, clearance, or full price around the 30 mark)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

And of course, the moneysaving way of doing things is dont buy anything unless You ABSOLUTELY NEED it and have the money aside for them ;)

And, of course got clubcard points for them as well

TK Maxx or Dot P when I worked in town. Sometimes even Primark.

Now: Asda, Dot P's or Brantano.

not sure they are particularly 'funky' but i like them!
tescos sometimes has alright shoes in too..

I try to find shoes I like and then see if they are on ebay. There's a good schuh ebay shop where they sell off all their sales stock. :) There's also been some really good codes for Office recently in the discount codes board, you should check it out.

  • Hi,
Never heard of brantano, where is it and what kind of shoes do they sell, I need shoes that are formal and smart.
    Thanks
  • Brantano are a company that sell all sorts of brands of shoes under one roof ranging from very cheap to just over reasonable priced (in my opinion). I've never seen anything horrendously expensive in there.

    http://www.brantano.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HomepageView?storeId=10002&catalogId=10002&langId=-13

Be warned though - anything that is really cheap in there, in my experience, has either been uncomfortable or of dubious quality (i.e. boots splitting after a few wears).

However if you go for the top end of the price scale (which is still reasonable as I say) then the quality is much better. I bought a pair of knee length tan leather boots in there November 2005 for £75 and they're still fantastic and I've been in snow & rain in them and walked miles! (Note: I do use leather cream polish on them regularly & get them re heeled.)

Other people may have different opinions though than me.

I would also look at M & S for shoes in their sale or if you have any independent shoe sellers where you are, often they have sales on and I have picked up top TOP quality boots/shoes from such a place for less than you'd pay in Clarks before.

Unfortunately, the only independent shoe shop near to me closed down last year :(

    Good luck in your search.
