Amazon books and delivery.

Hi all,

I've found some books on Amazon I want to buy. If they are all from the same seller I have to pay only for one delivery, but if they're from more than one would I have to pay to each seller or for each book? Sorry if silly question. Also how do I do it through Quidco or Rpoints? New to this.

You have to pay postage for each item, regardless if it's the same seller.

Amazon are apparently no longer allowing cashback sites to offer cashback anymore. Also cashback wasn't available on Amazon Marketplace purchases.

You don't say what kind of books it is you're looking for, so I'm not sure whether this will be any good, but Play.com sell books and offer cashback via Quidco.

Regardless of whether you are buying from one seller or many you pay the Amazon delivery charge per book not per order. Amazon give sellers a postage allowance per book and that price is built into the price the seller actually charges for the book in the first place, it isn't like ebay where sellers choose their own price for postage and add it on as an extra.

So for instance if you buy a book for 1p from any marketplace seller you will pay the 1p plus the postage quoted by Amazon, but all the seller would get would be £1.41 regardless and from that £1.41 they would have to pay for the wrapping and postage. That's why it is very rare for a seller to offer any discount for multiple purchases.
