Where to buy vases?

Hi all,
I used to post here awhile ago, I was married in May in the US and now I am having a reception in England for all my husbands family and our friends who couldn't make the wedding.
Here are some pictures from my photog's blog http://asyaphotography.com/blog/natalie-matthew-—-merion-cricket-club-may-28th-2011/

Now I need some advice on where to get cheap vases and things to make center pieces and other decor for our reception.

I want to make center pieces like these. tablsecape-thanksgiving-decorations-ideas-glass-votive-jars%2Bcopy.jpg

I don't know if I want cylindrical or square vases. Please let me know of cheaper places to get either. I looked at Ikea, but honestly it's not that cheap. I know in the US girls get their vases at the dollar store, I don't think I have ever seen anything like that at poundland though. Am I looked at the wrong poundland?

I am also looking for candles and if you know where I can buy cranberries in bulk that would be great as well.

If you are selling vases from your own wedding I would be interested in buying them used. We live in London and the reception will be near Grimsby.

Thanks so much!

And the cranberries u would want artificial?
  • Wilkinsons might be worth a look. Or ebay, if you can do local pick up. I don't know how many different pound shop type companies there are, tbh! I've just googled 'pound shop', and there are a few online pound shops as well as the high street poundland.

I didn't see those! I only saw the ones for £15. Thanks. :)

I got many of my vases for my candy bar at charity shops, well my mom did since I live in London and had a short time in Philadelphia before the wedding. But I want these to match more.

I don't think we will have a florist other than a bouquet for me to take some arty pictures. Since it's a 2nd reception and my IL are paying we want to do it on the cheap.

My other inspiration are things like this:

I want real cranberries. I got the idea thinking it would be cheap, but my husband pointed out that I am thinking like an American where cranberries are cheap b/c they are native. Damn.
