Credit File

I'm posting this here as I see lots of questions regarding credit files and problems with mortgages.
I have several linked addresses on my credit file, one of which is my works address which I had a mobile phone delivered too. Obviously I've never lived there and used it for convenience.
I contacted Experian to let them know but they replied that, as I had confirmed that I have a connection to this address, it will remain on my file.
I'm not very happy with this response and don't really think it should stay there; it seems that every address is multiplied and 5 addresses ends up as 25 (or something like that!).
Surely this can't be right; does that that mean that if I send a gift of something that has to be credit checked, that address will appear as as well?:(

Having linked addresses serves a purpose within the credit agencies.
The credit report does not belong to you. The credit report is on you.
Though if inaccurate the data can be challenged. If not, accept the situation and move on.0 -
As it is inaccurate, I think I will write to the mobile phone company and request that it's removed. A delivery address is exactly that.0
