Will be moving soon, secure a mortgage now?

I am moving from London to Bristol. At present I earn £7,000 more in London than I will in Bristol (I have secured a new permanent job there) To save time and get the benefits of being able to borrow more is it possible to get a mortgage approved before I go?
Will the mortgage company ask questions about my salary in my new job if I buy in a completely different location?
Thanks for your help

You may need to complete your probationary period before some lenders will even consider your mortgage application.0

You could seek an agreement in principal now, but can't get a formal morgtgage offer until you've got a house offer accepted.
You may also find that a lender is reluctant to lend until you've completed any probation period successfully in your new job.0 -
