recieved a default letter from my car insurance provider ,saying they have tried collecting monthly payment and have been charged £12 on to the account .i had contacted them by phone ten days before renewal date to cancell my policy as iv had a cheaper policy ,so i cancelled the direct debit as i had paid my last payment .phoned them up this morning to ask what the default notice was for they told me that they could not get payment for this month from my bank and they were entitled to default me ,i told them that i had cancelled my policy with them ,then they told me my policy had not been cancelled by me and that i should pay ,luckly i allways log all of these calls time and date and i had contacted my phone provider which prover i phoned them ,i was geting a bit angry a i am on a dmp and feeling a bit down at the moment .she told me not to get angry with her as the conversation was been recorded,i asked her ar all calls being recorded she said yes ,i gave her the time and date i phoned to cancell so she should look for the recording .they phoned me back after half an hour telling me that they had listened to it and i had cancelled it ,no appology for the stress and the wory i had yesterday .who can i contact to make a complaint about this company .thanks

Hello,
How frustrating! Have they refunded the £12 or cancelled the charge?
Why not write to them directly before taking it any further, to give them the chance to fix their mistake?
