  • I was pretty quick on the uptake last night but nothing would stay in my basket. When something like this comes around the pros are out to buy in bulk so very difficult to get a look in!:o

ANyone else order with VIsa Debit card? Have a feeling that they don't accept them, which may mean a trip out to buy a M+S giftcard to pay with.......

they absolutely do accept Visa debit, I've been shopping with them and paying with Visa debit for years and years :)

THey don't accept Visa Debit if it is with clydesdale or with Co op, they class these as Electron cards for some reason....

That is because on the system, some co op and clydesdale show as Visa Electron cards, even though they are not. M+S don't accept visa electron cards as you can be under 18 and hold one, and they sell alcohol....

If you have ordered with one, then you need to change the payment method promptly to another card before they try and take payment. Once they have failed taking payment, they don't hold your items so you con't have them.

And the cheeky little ******** on the phone has just deleted all the order I had made, so I can't even get someone else card to complete the payment to see if they have my orders in the warehouse somewhere.

    Fuming is not the word!

On the brighter side, if you can't edit your order it has been picked and you will get it!

I could not get the padlock for secure session to come up like it does on all other sites.
So I gave it a miss as this tells me they may have a wonderful secure site at that end but the data passed between us is not encrypted or secure, I never type credit card details over unsecure networks, they can be intercepted quite easily .

opera marks the M&S site as safe
it makes note that the secure TLS regeneration and the server should be upgraded. the ste shows as secure and its only when going into the details this is mentioned
  • Can't amend any of my orders now so hopefully means they are on their way - My credit card has been charged the grand sum of 3 pence:j

Another pair randomly became available on the site a while ago - Just ordered them and again for some reason it gave me free delivery!
