Our dog is a year old and he is a nightmare off his lead, he is great at everything else (sit, stay etc).
We are looking for a trainer that will possibly do one on one with us. We are willing to go into Aberdeenshire for training.
Any help in finding one is much appreciated
TIA

I'm not in Aberdeen, but we have been having similar problems with one of ours. Our vet recommended somebody for us. You could try that if all else fails?0

Here's a list of Association of Pet Dog Trainers in Aberdeenshire. This organisation are all supposed to use 'reward based' methods, which are the most effective, but it's a good idea to go along and watch to make sure you are happy with their techniques and the trainers approach to dogs as well as people. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
I was going to recommend Pat Morrey as she was a colleague of mine (not in dog training) until recently and I know she is very experienced but I see she is listed above. She also has a dog training book coming out but you may not want to wait for that.0

Yvonne and her husband are brilliant - they are actually based in banchory.
They trained police dogs for years.
Very approachable - very dog orientated - dont believe in punishment only in positive reinforcement.
Hope this helps
