6th Wedding Anniversary Present Ideas

Hi, I need to get a 6th wedding anniversary present. In the traditional style, and I've been told it is IRON/SUGAR! I've been having a look around and can't find anything so wondered if anybody had any ideas? Need it by the end of the month.

found this which may expand your thoughts a bit more

6th wedding anniversary gifts traditionally have a theme of Iron and Sugar.
Contemporary or modern anniversary gifts have a theme of Wood.
The flowers associated with the 6th Wedding anniversary are Calla lilies.
The Gemstone list shows Amethyst and Garnet associated with this Wedding Anniversary.

Thats great thanks. Our problem is though following the tradition style years, last year the fifth was wood, hence the contemporary one for the 6th year is no good as its wood again!

I really wouldnt want to receive an iron for an anniversary present! Unless you can get a garden ornament or something in iron. What about something jokey (cupcakes with sugar decoration/ironing board cover) and small on the theme and another more fitting present.

I'm usually quite good at presents but am stumped with this one...

Some sort of metal wall art if thats your type of thing....
sugar mice...they sell them on ebay...edible,cute and cheap....
an iron produces steam...a steam room is in a spa...therefore a days pampering could be had.....

Some ideas for iron gifts, mostly garden accessories:

I was also wondering about something to do with horseshoes, think these are made of iron and meant to be lucky.

It's our 6th anniversay in a few weeks so you've made me start thinking about it, thanks.

some good ideas here. Plus has reminded me to take a look at the modern and traditional gift list and choose the easiest to go by! If anyone fancies a laugh this happy friday evening its my birthday and OH has bought me a frying pan. oh yes.

well I did keep saying I needed one so only have myself to blame but I do know I need to steer clear of iron on my 6th anniversary...
