Mortgage is 180k and i have 50k to invest - i have done plenty of research and confident a number of companies i have my eye on will come up trumps.
I was going to pay the 50k into the mortgage but thought lifes a gamble and gone for it.
Mortgage is the only debt i have & currently making over payments of 2k per month on the mortgage.
Heres to a stressful few months
I'll keep you posted :T

Good luck, how long do you think it will take? Very interested to see how you get on.....
SquirrelPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Good luck with your ventures, I have a similar sized mortgage, and am putting half my monthly savings against the mortgage as overpayments and half is going into investments to try and effectively become mortgage free! I'd be interested to see how the investments go vs actually overpaying0

except I dont know where to trade! Can anyone help as which online share dealing company to use?!?!?!?!?!0 -
Remember each millisecond you beat the automated trading computers will net you 100 million pounds. Six microsecond trades are not uncommon. It would not surprise me if you could make twice the interest by making the same money appear to be in two accounts simultaneously.
It is the casino bosses/bookies that make the money not the everyday punters.
