Longest fixed rate available ?

Hi all,

As above really.

In general, what is the longest fix rate term available ? 5yrs ? or possibly longer ? I know you can get lifetime trackers but assume you can't get lifetime fixeds ?

We are currently on BoE tracker, 19 years left, o/s balance of £115k on house worth at least £250k (ie approx 40% LTV).

Does the availability of term lengths depend on the LTV ?

You can certainly get 10 year fixed - not sure about longer.

I am sure I have seen a 25 year fixed somewhere online but the rate was silly!

YBS and chelsea do 10 year fixes at about 4%

(YBS and Chelsea have merged and are basically the same bank anyway)

Skipton- 5.85% up to a max of 85% LTV.

Also, they do some random 7 year fixes.
