You still get JSA and you may make contacts while on the placement to get further work.0

ireckon its just the same as jobclub, given a fancy name.. and some consultant another few quid..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
And which consultant is that? Why dont people actually try and engage with these project instead of just slagging off the hard work that real people on the ground actually do?0

And what about the contacts from the other 3 work placements she did.
If it didnt work those THREE TIMES what makes you think it will work the fourth time hmmm?0 -
you havent been claiming jsa for 2 years if during the last 2 years you worked for 7 months. how long is it since the 7 month job ended? thats how long you have been on jsa. i'm not having a go by the way. i'm just pointing out the obvious flaw in what you said.I have an interview about it today at 4pm with my job centre cosultant and have no idea what The Work Programme is. I have been on JSA for 2 years now, although came off it for 7 months in that time as I got a temp job. I have done a year at a recruitment place called working links which put me on 3 work placements and around 10 different courses (CV, Retail, etc). Will this be similar?0 -

I said "may" not "will". Why so negative? Surely a positive attitude when meeting potential new employers will give a better 1st impression? I have also explained the difference between the way things are done now and how they used to be done.0 -
its rubbish. The last one i was on we did crosswords, wordsearches and quizzes and also built a car and a ramp out of cardboard and straws etc and pens and paper.
Nothing to do with getting a job.:footie:0 -
They are more focussed on the job outcome than the training for the sake of it now due to the changes in funding etc.0

Its cheap labour, there is no job at the end in most cases as they just keep getting new staff every 4 weeks. The plus side is you can get a reference and work experience out of it..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

So at worst you have some extra experience, a reference, new skills. Travel, childcare and replacement care costs paid by JCP, JSA still paid. Dont really see the problem.0
