USB Mouse on Laptop

Hi, The scroll wheel on my mouse has suddenly started to give a jerky action to the scrolling on the screen. There is a delay between moving the wheel, and the action on the screen. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what has happened please?.

Fluff/gunk gumming up the roller inside the mouse ..... needs a good clean (if you can get into it).

Hi, No, its not fluff etc., I tried a brand new mouse, and problem still occurs.

I know it sounds obvious, but have you tried a different USB port?

It's just in IE. When i pull up the favourites list it works perfectly.
  • Have you tried turning it off and turning it on again?
