Recycling the empties

Options
Hi, is there a best place to send empty HP cartridges? I don't want to buy any ink cause work does that, just want to send the old ones off. Thanks :)

Ita a great idea as I hate to throw things away and what an easy way to make money for the dogs home. Freepost too.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention :T
  • I always send my empty cartridges to Sense. It is a charity for deafblind children and adults. You can recycle mobile phones, ink cartridges, and other things. They can send you postage paid envelopes to send in your ink cartridges and mobile phones. Here's the site:

    http://www.sense.org.uk/support/recycling/

Since I am deaf, I really belief in supporting this charity.

I have an Epson printer and when I look at a lot of these charity envelopes in Tesco and so on to try and recycle them they state that they can't accept Epson, does anyone know why please?

Eco-office-supplies.co.uk always send me the SENSE recycling bags with my cartridges - a really worthwhile charity! They also accept bigger toner cartridges at any of their shops.:T

Because Epson cartridges can't be remanufactured - there is no profit in them! https://www.eco-office-supplies.co.uk recycle all cartridges and as above mentioned any profit goes to SENSE.

I have some envelopes from Tesco that are used for recycling old ink cartridges, you can either donate £1 to Whizz-Kidz for every cartridge returned or donate 50p and receive 50 Club Card Points.

You can recycle HP, Lexmark and Dell Cartridges and also the following Canon cartridges: BC02/05/20/BX2/BX3

They can't recycle Epson or laser cartridges (in the bags that I have)

The postage address is a freepost address.

    Details
    http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/partners/?page=recycle
  • Now you get 100 Tesco clubcard points per cartridge (or £1 to british red cross)
