HSBC ruining my credit file!!

Hi everyone this is my first post on the forum, I've been trying really hard to become debt free and to fix my credit file. This morning I had an alert from experian saying that I had a late payment on my HSBC current account, my Hsbc account has been overdrawn once in the last 6 months and that was in July for £33, the balance was corrected 2 days later. Can the bank do this for something that minor? It just seems a bit harsh especially when they still hit you with £25 fee.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
