I want a decent microwave oven

...Just a conventional one.

But one that hopefully won't keep breaking down.

Any recommendations? Is it worth buying a 'better brand' or are you just paying for the name.

I bought a Delonghi one from Argos a few days ago. Turntable's stopped working already so I may try to buy a different model when I take it back.

  • I think you're probably just buying the brand. Ours is a pretty nondescript one and it has been going for years.
Discount electrical stores are usually good for items like that if you do want to buy into a brand - otherwise try the supermarkets - I'm sure our Tesco home stores (I'm in Cheshire) had a pile of microwaves on show right by the door for half price.
