Hi Desperado,
Just wanted to say I hope you are finding a way forward and wishing you well in what is probably a stressful time.
I have linked to your 2 other threads so people can see the overall picture.

Keep posting and looking at all your options, I am sure there is a positive way forward.

Hi D,
I have read your threads. I understand your main focus is a roof over your head.
I also understand your point that what ever the judge says your mortgage / debts might be to high to sustain.
However I think there is a benefit in selling the house (if that is the best option) on your terms and time rather than via a repo and your hand being forced.
I know its not easy but why not post a statement of affairs all incomings / out goings.
If we know whats coming in and going out we can advise you better.

In your other thread you say the house is worth 225K and you have 190K of debt against it.
That give you potentially 35K in equity to protect / rescue.
If you can sell on your terms that is 35K to put to other debts or rental accomondation or a deposit for a future house.
But without an SOA we are advising you from a blind position.

You will need to provide a statement of affairs for the courts, so posting one on here would be good practice, and you would have all the details in one place already.
Is it possible for you to get an evening job, anything at all, to help out? Could your husband get a weekend job to boost earnings.
Is it possible to retroactively claim for the benefit you didn't apply for?
best of luck
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

has already mentioned this, but my partner and I were in the situation where being self employed, he had no work for three months. We only found out in retrospect that we could have claimed off the mortgage protection policy. Too late!! when you find out 6 months later!!
But our situation was not as bad as yours as I was working and could pay. Another thought - any life policies you could cash in?? I know some would say keep the policies going but if you can't afford to pay them you may be able to get something back.

PS. What kind of mortgage have you got?? Could it be changed to repayment type with mega years on it? to give you time to sort yourselves?Expect the worst, hope for the best, and take what comes!!:o0 -
just write it up like the one in this post and maybe post it as a new thread and then we can get to work on it.

It's all about getting in control of your finances and what ever happens in the next weeks, months, years the sooner you do that the better it will be for you and your family.
That's why the SOA is very important.
