I personally will be sad if/when they go.
Having said that the loss of Rover,Wolseley, the real MG's and the true Citroensall saddened me.
Long live Triumph.

I have no problem with hyundai or kia, they have made no outstanding cars but also no dogs either. Just stuff to get you to A-B on reliably and without fuss or cost. Very much like the japanese model.
The new Kia Optima is due later this year. Might raise a few eyebrows.

I am still hoping the hyundai I-flow becomes reality. I could handle a 200BHP hybrid saloon/coupe which did 80MPG.
But looks like it will be the i40 saloon, which is a bit turned down from the concept.0 -
I bought my wife a new I-ron the other day - She wasn't to impressed with meSpace available for rent0

Interesting...
I looked at all sorts this time around... and went with a Skoda Superb Combi.
Its the same pretty much as a Passat, except it isnt, its bigger and far better equiped as standard and therefore cheaper or better value for money.
Its probably not as technologically advanced as an Audi or a VW but it certainly takes the best from the parts bins and uses tried and tested parts that dont fail... Solid cars.
Very happy and wouldnt change it for the world.
I considered SAAB, KIA, VW, BMW(briefly), MERCs, FORD, MAZDA, HYUNDAI, NISSAN and TOYOTA test drove a load...
I dont think anyone makes a BAD car now, but little things can make a big difference, like saving 8k... nice...Plan
1) Get most competitive Lifetime Mortgage (Done)
2) Make healthy savings, spend wisely (Doing)
3) Ensure healthy pension fund - (Doing)
4) Ensure house is nice, suitable, safe, and located - (Done)
5) Keep everyone happy, healthy and entertained (Done, Doing, Going to do)0 -
I will be the first to applaud the passing of SAAB, who have consistently made the ugliest cars in the world. Citreon will, I hope, rapidly follow. After that Volvo and Fiat will get the accolade for ugliest car. I have always viewed the Volvo as the reverse of a hedgehog. With the hedgehog, the pricks are on the outside.0

I've never ever known anybody to buy one when they were in business.... so nothing will change for me if I continue to never know anybody who buys one.
They were ugly cars for boring old blokes.0 -
