tesco double the difference?

Hey ladies,

Are tesco still doing DTD or is it just price matching? Need to buy alcohol and it is cheaper in asda so want to figure out where the best place to buy it is! thanks :-) xx

    I got DTD last Saturday.
  • Just got me DTD on the Surf 54 washes, still being displayed as BOGOF but not working anymore. Funny tho this store had plain white SEL's with no offer advertised all week last week right up until yesterday for the surf, and only today have the BOGOF SEL's appeared on the item.

Our local tesco will give you DTD only when you ask for it!

Cord, you are talking about the pricechecker right ? This now only gives you a voucher for the difference, not double the difference.

The double the difference other people are talking about is where you get overcharged and they give you double the overcharge back as compensation.

Play safe and buy from the cheapest (Asda). Tesco are such con merchants they probably will not be able to price match and you will be stuck with the higher price. Lesson learnt here.

BTW, did I mention that I hate Tescos and their dressed-up cons with a vengeance?

Hi I had a call from Tesco head office about a complaint about this and they say that DTD is still in force :T

    Hey ladies,

Surely I can't be the only one to see a problem with that?

Doesn't DTD apply to being charged differently at the till from what is advertised on the SEL? I didn't think that it ever applied to the difference between competitors' prices.
