Looks a decent deal to me. Good spec, comes with accessory pack, quality brand and £70 off normal price.

Well recommened, perhaps not if you just want to drill a few holes in plasterboard to put something up

Very good drill for the price. Aimed at same users as Bosch Green and Ryobi kit so high end DIY spec but may not be suitable for heavy users.

Well I always like to have two drill/drivers to hand. One for drilling & one for screwing(*).

I already have a Ryobi 14v (non hammer)with 3 batteries and Ali case and was very tempted by the Makita which are one of the best IMHO but that Ryobi is soooo tempting. Add another £5 for postage tho.

Thanks for this. DH needs a new cordless for work and he assures me this is a good deal.

I had a Ryobi before, I then went and bought the 24v Bosch green which was on at a great price at B and Q for £79.99....

However I put it back, very heavy and just didnt seem that good to be honest.

So in my experience the Makita is definately in front of the Bosch green and a good bit in front of the Ryobi.

I found the same with the Makita circular saw I bought

    Hmmm. £75 against £99.

Well the accesory pack is worth about £15.00 I'd say so Makita for a tenner more than a Ryobi?

    Makita must win.

    Now, should I, shouldn't I?
