The O2 sims give you -

    £2.50 credit
    5mb browsing and downloading
    1 free O2 ringtone (up to £3.50)
    1 free picture photocard
1 free Java game download (up to £5.00)
2 free O2 video downloads or streams..
  • carry out all steps that you get sent in txts to your new sim card from O2. they'll send you loads of codes and numbers to reply to. they're free and i get 1000 free txts a month with mine, that i had free. i just have to put on a tenner a month. i get 10% back on whatever i top up every three months.
  • With the O2 Online Pay and Go Card:

    Introductory offers:

£2.50 for Registering (online or via text),
    5mb GPRS,
    1 ringtone download,
    1 java game download,
    1 picture photocard,
    2 video downloads.

    Other rewards:

Text REWARD to 50202 for 10% back on top-ups every three months (Max £150/quarter)
Text WEEKENDS to 21300 free for free O2-to-O2 text messaging at the weekends (00:00 Sat-00:00 Mon, Max 500/month, £10 top-up/month req., bbe. 31/3/2007)

Free allowances as you top up:

First month - 50 free minutes ONLY (contrary to what the pack might say)
    Months thereafter:

Talk Anytime: Talk Offpeak: Text Anytime:
    £10-14: 50 mins 100 mins 300 texts
    £15-29: 100 mins 150 mins 500 texts
    £30 up: 150 mins 300 mins 1000 texts

Inclusive UK Browse and Download of 1MB GPRS per month.

If you do not top up by your anniversary date, the package will RESET to the state as if it were your first month again, so if you do that, I'd just top up by £10, to get the amount you were only going to get anyway.

    Top-up bonuses:

Web Top-Up: 10% on your first Web Top-up via: https://www.o2.co.uk/webtopup, up to £3. Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/Delta accepted

Cash machine top up: 10% on your first cash machine top-up. Up to £5.

    Call charges:

UK - UK standard landline and other O2 mobiles: 25p/min first 3 mins, then 5p/min rest of day (til 00:00 next day)
    Other UK networks: 40p/min
    Voicemail: 10p/call
    Video calls UK: 50p/min
    Texts UK: 10p/each
    MMS UK: 25p/each
    UK Browse and download: £3/MB
    UK WAP via circuit-switch: 10p/min
    Cust. Service: 25p/call

Other costs are in the booklet you get in your SIM pack. So far it's the best deal I've found PAYG, was with Orange and getting royally scr*wed by them.
    Hope the info helps.

To get the minutes balance, call 4444, then press 2, 2, and then 2 again to see how many minutes you have. The reason your sister can call without no credit is because the pack you have registered has the talk anytime tariff pre-loaded on it (50 anytime mins). It will only work for 1 day, unless you top-up by £10, it will carry on for that month. The tariff can be easily checked, by looking at the code on the sim card holder, underneath, the mobile number of the sim card.
'24dtxtan' is the text tariff, and '24dtlkan', is the talk tariff.
