RED Debt collection Please HELP!

Hello I'm new here.
My problem is very strange.
I received letter from RED Debt collection saying that my account is overdue of 510.86pounds and Original company name is Threee Mobile.
Around 3 Years ago i've canceled my contract with 3 as I lost a job and was unable to pay. I then phoned them about what next. Lady told me that all my payments are up to date but not the last one around 50pounds. I can't remember how, but I've paid them this money. When I've moved I received letter from some debt collectors saying I owe 50 pounds, so I've explained what's happened but the person was so abusive so I decided to ignore. Now after around 3 years I've got 510 to pay. How is that possible? Could they give me some penalties?
I've also got loan debt around 510, would you think it could be that hidding under name of Three?
Also I was reading about 6 years statuate barred thing and just wondering if I should ignore all this letters for another 3 years?
What about Loan debt, which is 3 years old, if I'll send them "prove it" letter, and they will respond with all documents, will it be treated as acknowledged debt?
Please help me.

They can add penalties/charges if they want to, but unless there was specific provision in the original contract then you have no obligation to pay a penny of them.kolololoxxl wrote: »I've also got loan debt around 510, would you think it could be that hidding under name of Three?
Knowing how staggeringly incompetent Lowells are, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they had the two mixed up.kolololoxxl wrote: »What about Loan debt, which is 3 years old, if I'll send them "prove it" letter, and they will respond with all documents, will it be treated as acknowledged debt?
If you send a letter like the one in this link, then no, it does not not count as as acknowledgement.

Thank You for Your answers. Can You tell me what is the most thing debt collection agency might do to collect the debt?
Can they make You bankrupt or visit Your home?0 -
hi they will not make you bankrupt they cant, they may threaten to send a doorstep collector, simply inform them you are aware of section 40 of the administration of justice act which clearly states...you can only visit me at my home if you make an appointment and i have no wish to make an appointment with your company(add dca name) never phone them, email is ok keep everything in writing. If they have your phone no you may need to change it to get rid of them. Do not give them any private & confidential info about yourself.0

forgot to say...red debt collections are part of the lowellgroup so they are actually breaking sec 40 of admin act by 'using 1 or more collection companys at the same time' best of luck....0
