Lint free cloth, what is it?

What is a lint free cloth? I need to clean my wall tiles so i can paint them, i need to use a lint free cloth to dry them.

I would suggest using a micro fibre cloth.

smooth linen or cotton are lint-free. A cotton bud for instance, isn't. I agree with skipkoo that microfibre is best for most uses.

me too i only use microfibre cloths now

a leather shamie ( no idea how to spell) is also lint free. used to use this all the time to keep the rs spotless. i wonder if a microfibre cloth would work just as well. may have to try that at weekend. i love a spotless car. but this weather don't help

Chamois is the correct spelling though Shammy is widely used, especially in the motor trade where they are used for car cleaning.

It was originally made from leather from the Chamois goat though other leathers are now used.

I bought an synthetic “Shammy” for £1 in a pound shop and very good it is too.

Real Chamois cloths start at about £5 upwards.
